Creating Windmill Energy

Before we discuss how to create windmill energy, we have to know the basic factors of the windmill and how energy is produced. The windmills which create electricity always have an induction generator. This generator converts kinetic energy into electrical energy. This works by spinning a wire within a magnetic field and this process causes the electrical current to flow through the wire. So to make it simple, the wind is turned into electricity by the windmill or the wind turbine. To define a windmill, it consists of a number of spinning blades that are connected to the shaft of an electrical generator. When the wind blows on the blades, it spins and this also rotates the shaft and this creates the electricity.

When the blades rotate, mechanical energy is created and then changed to electricity. The windmill is now called a wind generator if it creates electricity. There are two kinds of wind generator, the Horizontal axis and the Vertical axis. The ones that you commonly see are the Horizontal axis which has a primary rotor shaft and a generator at the top of the turbine. The rotor blades should be made of very durable materials because it is constantly working.

What is Windmill Energy?

It has always been a dream of mine to live completely off the grid.  How nice would it be to not only help the environment, but to also be able to generate my own energy and be entirely self sufficient? Pretty damn nice.
